Who Are We?

We welcome all pets and pet parents from Herne Bay, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Freemans Bay, St Mary’s Bay, Westmere, and surrounding suburbs.

At Herne Bay Vet, we care for your pets like family. We aim to provide first class care for all our patients’ owners and family. Our clinic provides family style care for you and your pets, where modern day veterinary medicine meets traditional old fashioned quality service with a smile. We offer a variety of services including vaccinations, dental and oral health, microchip identification, annual wellness examinations, diagnostics through to full medical and surgical treatment.

Dr Steve Mirams is our highly qualified Veterinarian, and he has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of small animal medicine, as well as advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, and more. Dr Steve Mirams is supported by a highly qualified nursing team. As well as providing veterinary care to your beloved pets we stock a range of pet food and pet products. Our team welcomes you to bring your pet to meet us at anytime.
